Is Obama still relevant?

Lets put blame where blame lay...Obama's Ministry of Spin is in full gear.  The economy continues to tank even while he tries to get us to buy the lie that is Obamacare, so his liberal media backers jumped to his defense by bashing Bush.  They try to make their point by saying, "President Barack Obama may “own” the economy now — but he’s not ready to let anyone forget who left it to him."

At a recent town hall in Raleigh, N.C., Obama ripped his detractors saying, “You hand me a $1.3 trillion bill, and then you’re complaining six months later because we haven’t paid it all back.” And last weekend, the Ministry of Plenty of Money Czar Timothy Geithner and his economic crony, Larry Summers, flooded the TV talk shows with reminders that they had “inherited” a $1.3 trillion deficit and an economy “in free fall.”

These are good points, if your a bible and gun clinging redneck UnPerson who doesn't know better.  So let's help the Ministry of Truth out a little bit... the truth is Bush added close to $5 trillion dollars to the national debt over an 8 year period.  Obama added $1.3 trillion dollars to the national debt in his first 100 days of office and is expected to tax and spend another $2 trillion covering all budgetary matters overseen by the government for the remainder of the Federal Fiscal Year 2009.  If we extrapolate Obama's spending over a similar 8 year period, assuming we are acting stupidly enough to re-elect him, then it's calculated that Obama will have added $24 trillion dollars to the national debt during his tenure as POTUS for those 8 years.  As of the date of this article, our national debt stands at $11.77 trillion dollars

Are the numbers scary enough for you yet?  Just wait til you see what Obama and the Ministry of Taking and Giving have in store.

In the first 6 years of President Bush's term, with a Republican controlled Congress, the federal debt increased by $3 trillion because strict adherence to PAYGO was not observed.  From 2006 on it's worth noting that the debt accumulated during this period, over $2 trillion dollars, was voted on and approved by the democrat party which as of 2006 still holds the majority of seats in both the House of Representatives and the Senate.  Of particular noteworthiness is the fact that democrats have not followed the PAYGO guidelines either.

So while it's politically expedient to attempt to re-write history and say that Obama is taking responsibility for the economy without being responsible for it, Nothing could be further from the truth, a quick look at Obama's Congressional votes indicates that Obama voted yes to every major government expenditure during his 4 years as Senator and in most cases voted to increase taxes for Americans.

Obama and the Ministry of Spin in conjunction with the Ministry of Health and Happycare would have us believe that not only will their proposed Healthcare reform provided medical insurance for all, but that it will actually save us money in the form of less spending by the Government.  Since 2006, there are approximately 45 million people on Social Security, 43 million people participate in Medicare and 53 million people were enrolled in Medicaid.

Medicare spending is growing steadily in both absolute terms and as a percentage of the federal budget. Total Medicare spending reached $440 billion for fiscal year 2007, or 16% of all federal spending.  Total Medicaid outlays in FY 2007 were $333.2 billionSocial Security is the single largest government program.  In 2007, the program cost $585 billion and provided benefits for roughly 50 million retirees, dependents, survivors, and disabled workers.

A quick recap of the numbers:  there are approximately 140 million people on Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid.  The combined spending for those programs in Fiscal Year 2007 was $1.358 trillion dollars!

Now the really scary truth.  The number of people expected to be eligible and enroll for Social Security benefits is expected to triple in the next 2-3 years as the 'baby-boomers' elect retirement, this demographic started doing so in 2008.  Yes, you read that correctly, Social Security beneficiaries will jump from 50 million to just under 150 million people by 2012.

Most of those will partake in Medicare and Medicaid.  The total coverage extended under all three programs will be in the neighborhood of 230 million people.  Again if we extrapolate the Monies required to fund these increases in covered persons, its safe to say that the costs will triple as well.  We are talking about the cost of Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid approaching $4.2 trillion dollars by 2012!

Obama's Health Care legislation is slated to cost $1 trillion dollars over a 10 year period.  It's expected to cover 300 million of the 330 million people in the United States.  Obama's Ministry of Spin claims that they can cover 300 million American's at a cost of $1 trillion dollars over 10 years, when current fiscal projections show 230 million people costing the government $4.2 trillion dollars.  Do Obama's numbers make any sense when compared to those previously discussed?

I can definitively say No, the numbers speak for themselves.  But then any amount of money can be made to balance the books if its Other People's Money.

I'm going to make an non-exhaustive projection of the healthcare legislation's price tag based on the information i provided above from government sources and fair accounting practices that allow for forecasting expenditures.  Forty-six million Americans, including 9 million children, are living without health care coverage.  Given that Medicaid, which provides healthcare for the poor covers 43 million people and cost more than 333 billion per year, I believe that Obamacare will end up costing us more than $400 billion dollars per year.  This amounts to $4 trillion dollars over the same 10 years period that The Ministry of Happycare is projecting its costs for Obamacare onThat's $3 trillion dollars more than Obama and the truth crew are talkingThis also doesn't take into account the number of illegal mexicans and other currently non-aid eligible immigrants we will be asked to cover under Obama's plan.

Does it become clear now why Obama and his Ministry of Life want to encourage our Senior citizens to end their lives prematurely or given that they won't, force them to succumb because they are denied care as doled out by the Ministry of Life?  Obama and crew know that the American people cannot afford this program, so ending the lives of the elderly a little early saves money and makes the cost more palatable.

My friend and colleague Acta Non Verba now has 3 trillion more reasons to say that Obamacare will create Senior Death Warrants and then he backed that claim up with proof from the actually legislation before congress that seniors will be targeted for death by Obama's Healthcare program.

Obamacare... Bad for America, Bad for the Economy and Deadly for Senior Citizens and the Disabled.

Remember, just because I'm not Political Correct doesn't mean I'm not Correct.  As always... keep the change.

Higher and Higher the Healthcare Cost Goes
It should come as no surprise to my readers that the Pelosi Obamacare Health plan has now spiraled to the dizzying cost of $3 TRILLION dollars over 10 years (snick).  I forecast back August that the health care plan would get to 4 trillion d...
