T.A.S.E.R. Happy Police Zap an Unarmed, Legless Man in a Wheelchair

Share

Not the country i grew up in...Watch the video, basically the guy went off when the police tried to take his child away from him.  I would have too.  Police wonder why people are so hostile to them... the aforementioned vid is a good example of why.

In my own area, we have 3 little towns where the police ticketing of motorists is beyond abusive.  Hainesville, known for years as Lake County's top speed trap, was one of three Lake county towns where at least nine of 10 stopped motorists got a ticket in 2008, according to state data. The other two were Vernon Hills (94 percent) and Round Lake Heights (91 percent).

In Antioch, only 24.4 percent of drivers stopped by police end up with tickets. The statewide average is 61 percent, which is where Round Lake numbers fell at 61.9 percent.

I live right next to Round Lake Heights.  Its a Crime-ridden, illegal mexican immigrant neighborhood, but the police are more interested in ticketing hard working people with a job than preventing crime.  Granny going 5 over the limit is more of a legal concern than Juan and Julio selling dope, stealing cars or breaking into decent folks homes.  RLH pissed me off back in 2002 over a ticket such that I didn't even drive thru their crappy little burg for 2 years.  Just doing my part not to shop in a community that abuses its people.

Ya know......  I grew up in a small, small town in central Illinois.  A little town of 300 folk with one community policeman.  Everyone knew him, everyone liked him.  He knew all us kids and he knew our parents.  When we got in trouble he would take us to our parents, not to jail.  When we were being stuck on stupid as kids tend to do from time to time he would admonish us, not cuff us, and send us on home.  Sure enough when we got home mom and dad were waiting to give us our just desserts.

But, you know what.... if that officer were ever in need of help, everyone in town would have jumped to his aid... so the cops out there that want to taser disabled folks and show no mercy when writing that ticket... you need to ask yourself who will come to your aid should you walk down that dark alley with the bad guy waiting for you....  cuz the answer i have for the cops in the above 3 villages is good luck....

Gamer SWATted with Disproportionate Police Response

Share

This is not the America I grew up in...In another brazen attack on civil liberties, police and a SWAT team, in a obviously backward borough of New Jersey wasted hours of on-the-clock time and probably a million dollars to subdue a noisy video game player

Amerika, home of the brave gamer SWATtersThe gamer's neighbors called police because they heard screams and loud noises coming from the man's residence.  When police showed up they talked to the man who told them he was playing video games.

The man reportedly then became "irrational", prompting the officers to request backup. In response, the man locked his door and refused to let officers into the house. Police proceeded to call in the Somerset Country SWAT team, who set up shop in the parking lot of a nearby high school, although the man finally relented and came out on his own without further incident.

It was probably irrational of the man to refuse the police entry without a warrant and to invoke his write to say nothing.  But those are his rights, police nowadays don't like people who assert their rights, instead making the situation worse by, well... calling in a SWAT team to subdue a gamer who invokes his constitutional rights.  Pathetic.

So how is the free American gamer doing?  The gamer has been charged with disorderly conduct and is currently undergoing psychological evaluation at a nearby hospital.  Let me translate, he was charged with not cooperating with the police by asserting his right to not say anything and refusing them entrance to his home without a warrant, he needed treatment at the hospital because of the beating the police gave him when they broke down his door and tackled him.
