Trying to sell us on PelosiObamaCare with another Medicare Lie
Yahoo, the online cheerleader and megaphone for Pelosi and Obama came out with another AP article which shows the lengths these twits will go to in trying to sell us another ice cube in hell. The article in big scary sounding words was aptly titled, "Govt: Medicare paid $47 billion in suspect claims".... omg, and chicken little said the sky was falling too!
Let us look at this travesty of statistical pseudo-reporting with a critical eye shall we. (My responses in brackets and italics)
The government paid more than $47 billion in questionable Medicare claims including medical treatment showing little relation to a patient's condition, wasting taxpayer dollars at a rate nearly three times the previous year. [ Well, this makes sense, didn't the baby boomers start retiring between 2007-2009? Gee, do you think an additional 20 million retired folks on the medicare rolls will have an impact? ...more worrisome than that is, if the claims were truly questionable then why did you pay them before checking them out?! One wonders what the waste/fraud cost will be with the new healthcare plan! ]
But then the article makes the claim that medical treatments were provided that had little relation to a patient's condition. [ And a government agency is entitled to make that claim based on what? being a physician? People have more than one thing wrong with them at one time... that is unless your a doctor that works for medicare. and if you read that sentence critically, it's a nonsense statement...it literally means nothing! ]
They say it's waste. [ It's not, toward the end of the article we further read that indeed these so called, "suspect claims" are labeled such because they lacked a doctor's signature, or the signature was obscured, or if the medical documentation was incomplete. ]
Let's not forget that much of the increase in the last year is attributed to a change in the Health and Human Services Department's methodology that imposes stricter documentation requirements and includes more improper payments — part of a data-collection effort being ordered government-wide by President Barack Obama this coming week to promote "honest budgeting" and accurate statistics.
So, It's not clear whether Medicare fraud is actually worsening. [ The truth is this is a false man-made statistic that can be directly attributed to Oba-Mao machinations of the Health and Human Services system, who just so happens to need statistics that reflect badly on Medicare so he can better try and sell us PelosiCare. ]
You want to talk about fraud and waste? Let's compare that $47 Billion to the $800 Billion fraud and waste (the stimulus plan...sic) you gave to the bankers which was supposed to kick start our economy, ensure that no more jobs would be lost and that jobs would be created and would in turn get banks to start loaning money again. [ How did that Giant Fraud work out for you Obama? ]
And you want us to believe that you can manage a $4 Trillion dollar healthcare system your trying to ram rod down our throats....
Nice try Obama... keep the change.
