Dear Leader Hussein Not So Transparent as the Media Would Have Us Believe

Share

Look another taxpayer, get their money! While everyone is talking about the pork laden stimulus that Hussein and many Democrats in Congress are pushing, President Hussein very quietly signed a pro union executive order on Friday.  It ordered the use of union labor for federal construction projects.  Is this one of the payoffs that were supposed to 'change'?

Michael Steele has made the following statement.  "President Obama's executive order will drive up the cost of government at a time when we should be doing everything possible to save taxpayer dollars.  Federal contracts should go to the businesses that can offer taxpayers the best value - not just the unions who supported the Democrats' campaigns last year.  Quietly signing executive orders to payback campaign backers undermines Obama promise to change Washington. It is a disappointment for Americans hoping for more transparency and less politics as usual in Washington."

I would have to agree with everything the chairman said.  It is nothing less than a payoff to the unions who supported his campaign with both money and troops.  And the fact that it was done with no media coverage shows that he once again is trying to slip one by Americans, which is anything but transparent.

I haven't been hearing this on the news have you?  Of course not, it would mean he's not doing his part for the Bilderberg group.

In Defense of Ed Henry

Share Obama Thinks, News to me

During Hussein's recent press conference during which he tried to sell the sheeple more mom and apple pie, a gentleman by the name of Ed Henry of CNN asked "Our Dear Leader" why he didn't spew outrage as soon as he learned about the AIG bonuses. Why, Mr. Henry asked, did the president wait several days before speaking out?

The Dear Leader, with an icy stare, responded that he "likes to know what he's talking about" before he speaks.  Umm, sorry Hussein, but this was a no (or is that know?) brainer on the outrage page, it took all of 5 seconds for me to get angry and do something about it, yet you took several days...  But then of course you probably had to wait a few days for the oft vacationing banksters to get back to you with scripted comments suitable for sheeple consumption.

For those twitterwits out there that thought Mr. Henry got shot down, lets do the math here.  Hussein is a sitting President of the United States which pretty much makes him the most informed individual on the planet, what with his morning, noon and night briefings.  So for him to feign ignorance let alone say he likes to know what he is talking about is to imply that the "Dear Leader" is not as on top of things as we would like to hear.  Mr. Henry asked a good question and I certainly hope he keeps the cahones to ask some even harder ones.

As to you, "Dear Leader" Hussein, spending 7 Trillion American dollars over the next ten years, I can see you know what your talking about there also.  Your children and mine will be swimming in your fiscal gaff their entire lives.  But there is hope, you should read my GRAPES plan for bringing the United States out of this economic mess you and your cronies created.  Imagine that!

A New Way Forward - Now you can help stop the banks!

Share

Congress, Stop favoring the Banks!12 million unemployed. Foreclosures up 81%. Wall Street has taken over. We must break up the banks and never again let them get so big that they distort our politics and take down the economy.

The only nationally-coordinated grassroots protest against the bank bailouts since the meltdown

On April 11, 2009 at 2pm ET/11am PT, there will be protests in cities across the country to break the power of the financial industry and the bankers that caused the current economic crisis. With growing frustration over unemployment, foreclosures and how the government has responded to the economic crisis so far, a web organizing platform, http://www.anewwayforward.org, has emerged to allow people and groups to organize around a progressive approach to economic recovery. The ground up, localized organizing effort to influence national policy is expected to culminate in at least one protest in every state.

"Through campaign money and lobbyists, the financial industry has been pushing politicians to protect their interests in these hard economic times," said one of the website creators. "It's time for the public to demand that Congress and the Obama administration put the well being of all people over the greed of the bankers. Our government will continue to be corrupted by the financial industry if people don't speak out and demand that Congress put the public interest first in everything they do."

The website proposes three key principles for economic reform:

NATIONALIZE: Insolvent banks that are too big to fail must incur a FDIC intervention -- no more taxpayer handouts.

REORGANIZE: Current CEOs and board members must be removed and bonuses wiped out. The financial elite must share in the cost of what they have caused.

DECENTRALIZE: Banks must be broken up and sold back to the private market with new antitrust rules in place-- new banks managed by new people.

The site allows anyone to sign up their city for a protest and begin working out the details with other local protesters in designated forums. Though each protest will be executed differently by different groups of people, the website provides a national community that will help draw attention, support and resources to the local efforts.

"We expect the unemployed, the foreclosed, the Obama supporters, the progressives, and those who are seeing their country slip away, to make their voice heard -- this country can't be hijacked by the banks anymore," said one of the website creators. "People will come out of the woodwork and lead others to express our majority opinion and our public will."

According to the Bureau of Labor and Statistics, 11.6 million people are unemployed as of January, 2009 and home foreclosures were up 81 percent in 2008 from the previous year. Americans are disappointed with how the legislative process has failed to represent their daily concerns. They are angry that CEOs at bailed-out banks continue to get $100 million bonuses while economic stimulus and foreclosure prevention legislation gets watered down by Democratic and Republican conservatives in Congress at the behest of big finance.

The website is designed as a tool for the public to proactively gain influence over their elected officials, even if they lack the financial and political resources. The national protest and the sentiment behind them are a way to show the government that voting citizens across the country are paying attention and they demand action on the economy that protects them, not the bankers.

Now you can get involved!  GO TO "A NEW WAY FORWARD" TO STOP THE BANK BAILOUTS!

Update concerning The Washington D.C. Teabag Party, April 1st, 2009

Share

Time for a tea partyWould you like a little tea with that pork, congressman?

It seems that people are concerned about sending a tea bag in an envelope to our "Dear Leader's" in DC.  I saw on the New American Tea Party site where they are saying we should send the label from the tea bags.  I think this is a capitol idea!  First, it gets the message to our elected thuggery in D.C. and secondly, we aren't wasting good tea on a bunch of thieves.

So, Only send the label from your tea bags.  An alternative to this is to send a picture of a tea bag, you can choose from many pictures of tea bags here.  You can also fax your image of a tea bag to your elected thug.  Congressional Phone Numbers, Fax Numbers and Mailing Addresses.

Origin of the idea:   On the evening of 16 December 1773, a group of American colonists who called themselves "The Sons of Liberty" furtively boarded the ship Dartmouth, which was docked in Boston harbor with a load of East India Company tea. Working through the night, the colonists dumped over 45 tons of tea into the waters of the harbor as a protest against the Tea Act passed by the British government. The event, which came to be known as "The Boston Tea Party," was one of the seminal events of the American Revolution and remains one of the most iconic moments in all of U.S. history.

In 2009, the iconic status of that event was referenced in the name of the New American Tea Party, described as a "coalition of citizens and organizations concerned about the recent trend of fiscal recklessness in government" who have begun coordinating events around the U.S. with the announced goal of protesting largesse in federal spending. The item quoted above seeks to take up the "Tea Party" spirit by encouraging Americans to mail tea bags to the White House on 1 April 2009 (in order to arrive by 15 April, the day on which income tax filings are due) as a form of symbolic protest against "the way Washington is handling our taxes." (The concept is vaguely reminiscent of a 1955 campaign that had citizens mailing small bags of wheat to President Eisenhower to encourage the U.S. to provide surplus food to flood victims in China.)

Of course, everyone is free to choose whether or not to participate in symbolic protests, so such actions don't have much in the way of verifiable "true" or "false" aspects — the only issue is how effective the chosen form of protest is likely to be. With that in mind, we offer a few caveats for those inclined to participate:
  • An entry in the New American Tea Party blog states that they don't endorse the effort:
We have received hundreds of questions about an email circulating that urges folks to send tea to Washington on April 1st or April 15th. This effort is not endorsed by the New American Tea Party, so we can't answer any questions about it.
  • Given the more stringent security procedures for mail handling enacted after 9/11, there are no guarantees envelopes containing mailed teabags will get through to the White House without being discarded or significantly delayed, something also noted in the New American Tea Party blog:
It is a neat idea, but things like that will likely either be held up getting scanned or end up getting thrown away due to security precautions.
(A subsequent New American Tea Party blog entry suggested that just mailing the labels from tea bags might be a way of avoiding this potential pitfall.)
  •

  • Envelopes that cannot be run through USPS sorting machines are subject to an additional 20¢ postage surcharge. A mailed item is considered nonmachinable if:

    • It is a square letter (the minimum size for a square envelope is 5 x 5 inches)
    • It is too rigid — does not bend easily
    • It has clasps, string, buttons, or similar closure devices
    • It has an address parallel to the shorter dimension of the letter
    • It contains items that cause the surface to be uneven
    • The length divided by height is less than 1.3 or more than 2.5
  •

  • The specific aims of the tea bag protest are not clearly articulated in the e-mail quoted above, so senders might wish to include explanatory notes with their envelopes stating the desired outcome, such as: "I enclose this teabag as a protest against the passage of any further economic stimulus packages that provide money to businesses without provisions for strict transparency and accountability in how that money is to be spent" or "I enclose this teabag as a protest against the passage of any further economic stimulus packages that include earmarks."

Let the Sheeple hear the truth, Obama the Liar Exposed as NWO member

Share

Note from Acta:  Neither voting nor legislation will overcome this insidious threat to life on earth, unfortunately, only armed revolt will end this situation... tis a sad time we live in.  If you want to see the truth as to how you have been deceived by congress and hussein in collusion with New World Order Bankers, Bilderberger Members, the CFR and other World Powers, then read the rest of this entry and click on the link to hear the only information that will save your life and the life of your family.  If you don't watch it, then I don't want to hear your whining when they come to take you to one of the 500 detention centers currently open within the United States.

NWO Hussein, the harbinger of death

THE MASK HAS BEEN REMOVED!

The Obama Deception is not about Left or Right. Black or White or Any Color of Person, Republican or Democrat, it's about a One World Government. The international banks plan to loot the people of the United States and turn them into slaves on a Global Plantation. This film completely destroys the myth that Barack Obama is working for the best interests of the American people. The Obama phenomenon is a hoax carefully crafted by the captains of the New World Order.

Obama is being pushed as savior in an attempt to con the American people into accepting global slavery. We have reached a critical juncture in the New World Order's plans. and only by exposing the con can we help to save freedom in America.

Film maker Alex Jones has made several films exposing the Bush agenda and will now approach the Obama Administration plans from the same non-partisan point of view looking past the frontman in the White House to the real owners on Wall Street, in the Bilderberg group and at the Federal Reserve.

Covered in this film... who Obama works for, what lies he has told, and his real agenda, and how his initial appointments and actions prove he serves the corporate oligarchs, not the American people.

Obama is continuing the process of transforming America into something that resembles Nazi Germany, with forced National Service, domestic civilian spies, warrantless wiretaps, the destruction of the Second Amendment, FEMA camps and Martial Law.

His handlers are openly announcing the creation of a new Bank of the World that will dominate every nation on earth through carbon taxes and military force. International bankers purposefully engineered the worldwide financial meltdown to bankrupt the nations of the planet and bring in World Government.

Obama plans to loot the middle class, destroy pensions and federalize the states so that the population is completely dependent on the Central Government.

The Elite are using Obama to pacify the public so they can usher in the North American Union by stealth, launch a new Cold War and continue the occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan.

The information contained in this film is vital to the future of the Republic and to freedom worldwide. President Barack Obama is only the tool of a larger agenda. Until all are made aware, humanity will remain captive to the masters of the New World Order.

Alex and his crew analyze the finer points of Obama’s policies and the globalist handlers who control the 44th president. The wave of mass hysteria surrounding the election of the United States’ first African-American president may enable the globalists to push through their agenda, knowing that eight years of dirty work had tarnished George W. Bush’s administration and turned the people against him. Now, many of those same policies stand to continue under the guise of a new face...  And now...

No more dual citizen or naturalized citizen government employees!

Share

yoga guru from indiaIn another surprising development, Hussein had to put Vivek Kundra on a "leave of absence".  I've said this before Hussein and I'll say it again and again and again til you get it, YOU CANNOT SOLVE PROBLEMS USING THE SAME PEOPLE THAT CREATED THE PROBLEMS.  Let's add a codicile to that, you can't solve american problems with third world minds either, and it doesn't really matter if they were raised here or not.  Vivek Kundra was born in New Delhi, India. His parents immigrated to Tanzania, where he grew up. Kundra speaks Swahili as his first language. His family moved to the United States when he was 11.  Check out this rense article for more info on "Who Is Vivek Kundra".

Vivek is not a good choice for any government position for several reasons, first he has the mentality of a New Delhi bazaar stall owner, not to mention its been trained into his mind for the first 11 years of his life to live like these incredibly corrupt east indians.  Oh and then he grew up in Tanzania, yeah, there's a country with American Ideals about freedom and technology, a laptop in every mud hut getting electricity from the cow walking in circles attached to the generator.

Did I fail to mention his first language is Swahili?  This means his parents, rather than doing what good people who immigrate to the United States do and that is learn the language of Americans, spoke their homeland languages at home.  Yeah, they really loved being in America.

Now we find out there was corruption, graft, payoffs and cronyism among his employees at his old job as the District of Columbia's Chief Technology Officer.  Imagine that, someone with the mind of a bazaar thief raised in a mud hut running a government office wherein people have been arrested for bribery, and I'm sure none of that money got into his sticky little fingers.

Why not hire an American?  You know, one of those people born here, raised here, and in tune with our ways, beliefs and technology.  Send this clown back to the swami and get a real American!

Why are people so damn afraid to be angry and do something about government corruption?

Share

It pisses me off more than anything that the American people are so apathetic, so "oh well, we'll make do", or "these are the signs of the times" or "Jesus is coming back soon, so it don't matter" or some mash-up of the aforementioned, take your fucking pick.  Think about what your saying folks, Thank God, our founding fathers didn't have such shit attitudes, they lived for the moment, seized the day!  Carpe Diem damno is!

I was sent the following video link, in which this guy gives a very coherent rant about the issues we face in this current crisis and asks some angry questions that I'm sure most Americans are asking.  It begs the question, why are our elected scoudrels not giving us the answers, or for that matter that actionable response we expect from them to hold accountable and punish the perpertrators of this great bank robbery of the U.S.?

Step-n-Fetch HillaryHow can we in good conscience stand idly by while our blood, sweat and tears are plundered from our coffers?  How can we keep electing or appointing people to positions of high authority and trust whose actions inherently tell us that they are not seeking the best interests of the American peoples.  Examples of this would be Hillary Clinton, her ties to Monsanto run so deep i can't tell where her lips end and Monsanto's ass begins.  Or Rahm Emanuel, whose antics merit a passioned outcry from the public, not to mention this idiot has no allegiance to the United States, instead giving it to his other citizenship with Isreal.  Rahm also managed Rahm Enanuel with his buddy Rod Blagojevichto bail out of Freddie Mac, the quasi-governmental mortgage lender, before it put a bad mark on his permanent record.  In the mean time we the people have had to bail out Freddie Mac because of fiscal mismanagement under Rahm's watchful eye.  And we sure couldn't accuse this asshole of misconduct or conflict of interest regards Freddie Mac now could we?  And to think, we paid Rahm Emanuel $250,000 dollars to do a great job of fucking up Freddie Mac.

You must decide America, Liberty or Enslavement as Sheeple.  I call on you to flood the White House asking for the removal of these two from office.

Hillary Clinton: American Traitor! We demand your resignation and permanent removal from politics

Editor's Note:

This article is written by Linn Cohen-Cole. The issues regarding Monsanto are real and urgent, and the author has done a good job discussing the process and support for Monsanto by the Bill and Hillary Clinton administration.  Keep in mind this information was made available during the presidential campaigns of 2008.

An Open Letter to Hillary Clinton from Another Wellesley College Alumna (Linn Cohen-Cole)

Please read and post/share with other groups! VERY INFORMATIVE!

Hi,

The following is not short but it has directly to do with each of us and in immediate and very serious ways. I am doing my best to get this information out as far as I can, since I believe our lives and our world depend on it.

Linn

An Open Letter to Hillary Clinton from Another Wellesley College Alumna

Dear Hillary,

hillary after eating monsanto foodBy polling logic, I should be your supporter - Democrat, older woman, white, liberal. I was even in a dorm with you in college. I have pulled for you for years. But something this past summer fundamentally changed my responsibility to my children and grandchildren. In the time I have left in my life to protect them and others, I need to speak out.

I saw a News Hour piece on Maharastra , India , about farmers committing suicide. Monsanto, a US agricultural giant, hired Bollywood actors for ads telling illiterate farmers they could get rich (by their standards) from big yields with Monsanto's Bt (genetically engineered) cotton seeds. The expensive seeds needed expensive fertilizer and pesticides (Monsanto, again) and irrigation. There is no irrigation there. Crops failed. Farmers had larger debt than they'd ever experienced

And farmers couldn't collect seeds from their own fields to try again (true since time immemorial). Monsanto "patents" their DNA-altered seeds as "intellectual property." They have a $10 million budget and a staff of 75 devoted solely to prosecuting farmers. Since the late 1990s (about when industrial agriculture took hold in India ),166,000 Indian farmers have committed suicide and 8 million have left the land.

frankenstein appleFarmers in Europe, Asia, Africa, Indonesia ,South America, Central America and here, have protested Monsanto and genetic engineering for years.

What does this have to do with you?

You have connections to Monsanto through the Rose Law Firm where you worked and through Bill who hired Monsanto people for central food-related roles. Your Orwellian-named "Rural Americans for Hillary" was planned withTroutman Sanders, Monsanto's lobbyists.

Genetic engineering and industrialized food and animal production all come together at the Rose Law Firm, which represents the world's largest GE corporation (Monsanto), GE's most controversial project ( DP&L's - now Monsanto's - terminator genes ), the world's largest meat producer ( Tyson ), the world's largest retailer and a dominant food retailer ( Walmart ).

The inbred-ness of Rose's legal representation of corporations which own controlling interests in other corporations there and of corporate boards sharing members who are also shareholders of each other's corporations there, is so thorough that it is hard to capture. Jon Jacoby, senior executive of the Stephens Group - one of the largest institutional shareholders of Tyson Foods, Walmart, DP&L - is also Chairman of the Board of DP&L and arranged the Wal-Mart deal. Jackson Stephens' Stephens Group staked Sam Walton and financed Tyson Foods. Monsanto bought DP&L. All represented at Rose.

GMO by monsanto, deadly profitsYou didn't just work there, you made friends. That shows in the flow of favors then and since. You were invited onto Walmart's board, you were helped by a Tyson executive to make commodity trades (3 days before Bill became governor), netting you $100,000, Jackson Stephens strongly backed Bill for Governor, and then for President (donating $100,000).

Food and friends, in Clinton terms:

Bill's appointed friend Mike Espy, Secretary of Agriculture, who immediately significantly weakened federal chicken waste and contamination standards, opening the door to major expansion of Tyson's chicken factory farms.  Espy resigned, indicted for accepting bribes, illegal contributions, money laundering, illegal dispersal of USDA subsidies, .... Tyson Foods was the largest corporate offender.

But what Bill did for Monsanto "genetic engineering" goes beyond inadequate concepts of giving corporate friends influence: He unleashed genetic engineering into the world. And then he helped close off people's escape from it.

Genetic engineering is many orders of magnitude different from "normal" (even polluting) business in its potential biologic ramifications. The warning myth of Pandora'a Box - letting irretrievable things rush out into nature - has become real. The harrowing change to the world from nuclear fission and fusion is the closest parallel.

What did Bill do?

1. Bill's put Monsanto people in at the FDA, as US Agricultural Trade Representatives, on International Biotechnology Consultive Forums, and more ...

http://www.commondreams.org/headlines/072600-03.htm  or

http://www.monitor.net/monitor/9904b/monsantofda.html or

http://www.mindfully.org/GE/Revolving-Door.htm

2. Bill's FDA gave Monsanto permission to market rBGH ( a GE bovine growth hormone ) , the first genetically engineered product let loose on us ( or did tomatoes with fish DNA get there first? ) .

3. Despite reports of bovine illness and death, Bill's FDA did not recall it or put warnings on it. Even "a very angry, very vocal nationwide consumer base" had no impact.

4. Bill's FDA wouldn't even label rBGH as "present" in milk.

Hillary must be removed for high crimes and misdemeanors5. When dairy farmers tried to label their own milk rBGH-free so the public could choose, Bill's USDA threatened all dairies that their products could be confiscated from stores.  Michael Taylor, USFDA Deputy Commissioner, was formerly Monsanto's counsel.

6. How were consumers to protect their family, given Bill's FDA enforced public blindness, except to buy only organic? But Bill's FDA tried to close off that last escape, proposing to include in "organic" standards, "the dirty three" a : genetic engineering of plants and animals, use of irradiation in food processing and use of municipal sewage sludge as a fertilizer. (My emphasis.) The FDA backed down.

Had this gone through, Monsanto could have finally labeled rBGH milk ... as "organic." And animal waste from factory farms, a pollution nightmare for Tyson and others, could have been sold as fertilizer.

USDA head Dan Glickman: "This is probably the largest public response to an [Agriculture Department] rule in modern history." In fact the response was 20 times greater than anything ever before proposed by the USDA.

Personally, I resent years of effort to protect my children and now grandchildren, from that crap.

Politically, Bill sided against small farmers and against the public's right to know, and with Monsanto.

A snap shot of our food:

Oils: Sheep died in India after feeding on Bt cotton fields. We feed our children Bt cotton, as cottonseed oil in peanut butter and cookies.

Grains: 49% of US corn acreage was planted in Bt corn in 2007. A French study proved Monsanto's GMO corn causes kidney and liver toxicity. Soft drinks and candy have highly concentrated Bt corn, in the form of high fructose Bt corn syrup and mercury. The US food system depends most on two crops, soy (90% GMO, 90% of traits owned by Monsanto) and corn, the largest crop (60% GMO, nearly 100% Monsanto traits). "[E]ssentially our entire food supply is genetically modified, to the benefit of one company." The Grocery Manufacturers of America in 2000 estimated that 70 percent of US food contains GM traits

Meat: Steroids bulk up atheletes. Monsanto steroids bulk up animals - more weight, more profit. We feed our children steroids in meats. Is this why our children are fattening, like Hansel and Gretel?

Poultry: Bill's USDA weakened chicken waste and contamination standards and attempted to allow sewage sludge as fertilize crops. I will say more about disease from industrialized poultry farms waste, at the end of this letter.

Yummo! another great food from monsanto!Milk: Over 30 scientific publications have shown increased levels of IGF-1 in milk with rBGH increases risks of breast cancer by up to seven-fold, also increasing colon and prostate cancers risks. Canada , 29 European nations, Norway , Switzerland , Japan , New Zealand , Australia , and South Africa ban U.S. rBGH dairy products. Bill's USFDA put no restrictions, no warning labels (not allowing labels at all). (My emphasis.)

American children eat that food and drink that milk, Hillary. Coincidentally, American children are increasingly fat and sick.

Here, Bill ignored pleas for labeling. Abroad, Bill ignored intense international objections over the same issue - unlabeled US food exports - badly straining trading relations. Monsanto's "good ole boy," he betrayed American families at the deepest levels conceivable - their family's health and their democratic right to know. He betrayed our rural life and American family farmers - backing corporation deceit and control, over honesty and clean farming.

But, HIllary, it is one thing to not label a regular ole food product to sell it, and quite another to sell a suspected-dangerous food product (rBGH), but Bill's administration didn't label (or stop) a well-known, terrifying threat - Mad Cow Disease.

Bill's FDA's August, 1997 regulation permitted "known TSE-positive [Transmissible spongiform encephalopathy] material to be used in pet food, pig, chicken and fish feed," only requiring the label to read "Do not feed to cattle and other ruminants" in the US.

Monsanto added to the problem. "There is evidence that rbST use [Monsanto's GE bovine growth hormone] reduces the useful lifespan of a dairy cow. ... Given that the incubation period for BSE is at least three to five years and perhaps longer, rbST-treated cows could harbor "hidden" BSE.  That is, they might be infected but still asymptomatic when sent to slaughter." (My emphasis.)

hillary is a monsterBill let TSE into our entire food chain. And who owned the feed and slaughter and genetic engineering corporations whch benefitted?

Please, tell me, Hillary, what he could possibly have gotten in friendship or favors, that could ever justify his exposing millions of people to this?

With genetic engineering itself, Bill did something to the whole world, which tried to object. Words are inadequate to express how astoundingly immoral, beyond human bounds and conceit and power, that was.

"Even for the biggest "winners," it is like winning at poker on the Titanic." Jerry Mander: Facing the Rising Tide

He had no right.

Do you hear that?

Bill had sex from Monica Lewinsky. That's "dinky immoral." That's chicken feed immoral - excuse the Tyson pun, excuse the TSE-laced pun. Bill let genetic engineering lose on NATURE itself.

"Our way of life is likely to be more fundamentally transformed in the next several decades than in the previous one thousand years…Tens of thousands of novel transgenic bacteria, viruses, plants and animals could be released into the Earth's ecosystems…Some of those releases, however, could wreak havoc with the planet's biospheres." Jeremy Rifkin, Biotech Century

Bill did this to us, like it was some nothing and he, some big dumb ass Southern boy, just smiling and getting in good with the Big Boys, thinking about as much about the consequences of something this immense and about us human beings out here, as he thought about you, when he was unfaithful with Monica. Just one big fool getting off on the power and used to getting away with things.

Terminator genes, developed by DP&L, a Rose Firm client, prevent seeds from "working" after only one season. Farmers "must" repurchase (patents and suing not certain enough control, it seems). Those "killing" genes pose the apocalyptic risk of breaking out into nature. Natural seeds could fail, too. Nature could fail.

Far-fetched?

GMO fields are already contaminating normal species. Berkeley Professor of Microbiology, Ignacio Chapela, wrote an open letter, warning the Mexican government about just this breaking out phenomenon happening in maize.
And it has already happened with weeds - pesticide resistant GMO seeds break lose and weeds become pesticide-resistant Superweeds.

But Bill's USDA spokesman, Willard Phelps said the USDA wanted the technology to be `widely licensed and made expeditiously available to many seed companies.'  "Genetic Engineering is often justified as a human technology, one that feeds more people with better food. Nothing could be further from the truth. With very few exceptions, the whole point of genetic engineering is to increase sales of chemicals and bio-engineered products to dependent farmers." David Ehrenfield: Professor of Biology, Rutgers University

Pharmaceutical grade food, yucko!Hillary, more than one half of the world's bee colonies have collapsed. Gone. Farmers in India are killing themselves. Farmers and bees. Since organic farmers in India are fine and organic farmers report no colony collapse, what does these farming catatrophes say about "industrial agriculture" ?

Mad Cow Disease is another direct result of industrial agriculture. And now ....... transnational poultry factories are implicated as the source of bird flu. ... Small scale poultry farms and wild birds seem not to be the problem [just as small farmers are not the issue in Mad Cow Disease], and yet "initiatives are multiplying to ban outdoor poultry, squeeze out small producers and restock farms with genetically modified chickens...  "Of the few outbreaks that did occur in [ Laos ], more than 90% broke out in commercial poultry operations, not free-ranging flocks."

Monsanto (and others) is currently working with the USDA to force small farmers to tag every animal with a global tracking device (NAIS - National Animal Identification System). Allegedly related to food safety, Monsanto and others would be creating a vast corporate digital library on every move of small farmers's livestock

But small farmers do not create the contaminated environments, do not supply the feed, do not grind up diseased animals into feed (how Mad Cow began) and then sell it. In fact, their farming methods, free range and small scale, are significantly healthier and safer for animals and food than the massive concentration of animals by corporate industrial agriculture.

Monsanto is also aggressively pushing for state laws to limit farmers' right to choose what to plant and the public's right exclude GE plants from their communities

Cattle bloated by steroids, lapse and loss of 10,000 year old normal seeds, immense pollution from factory farms, deadly-disease- ridden feed, world-wide bee colony collapse, poisoned soil and depleted water supplies, Superweeds, lawsuits against farmers, loss of family farms, and ... India farmers killing themselves in what may be the largest mass suicide in recorded human history (on average ... one farmers' suicide every 30 minutes since 2002 - The Hindu 1.30.08) - that is industrial agriculture.

Monsanto and Tyson are two of the largest industrial agricultural corporations in the world. Industrial agriculture is represented by your Rose Law Firm.

Your claim to care about food safety is terrifying double-speak given what Bill did and who you take donations from. Your idea of a Department of Food Safety would centralize control of food - in whose corporate connected hands? You talk tough about labeling food - ah, but "foreign" food - a sleight of hand tricking a public desperate for safe US food. You talk about food safety but Bill degraded food in every imaginable way and prevented minimally sane labeling.

I am a person before I am a woman. Your gender means nothing. It is a media distraction. Your policies on health and food and women and children, are meaningless in the face of connections that have threatened those groups profoundly, connections you have never denounced.

Monsanto uses child labor in India , primarily very young girls, exposing them to a lethal pesticide 13-14 hours a day, for pennies in pay.  But you take donations from their lobbyists. You say you care about black people but as the poorest people in this country, they are least able to buy organic and are forced to eat the contaminated foods Bill let into our food system. The National Black Farmers Association has a boycott out on all Monsanto products.

Do you eat organic?

hillary the monsterSo, who are you with, hapless black consumers and black farmers, or Monsanto? Mothers left to give their children rBGH milk, or Monsanto? Women exposed to 7 times greater risk of breast cancer, or Monsanto? Desperate farmers in India and young children forced into child labor in cottonseed factories there, or Monsanto? Animals suffering from lives in filthy cages and disgusting feedlots, shot up with steroids and hormones and antibiotics, or Monsanto? Our children who eat candy with high fructose Bt corn syrup associated with kidney and liver toxicity, or Monsanto?

Edwards was right about your corporate connections. I just didn't understand until I saw that PBS show and read about Monsanto, how personally affected my children and grandchildren, and all people around the world, have been.

I will not vote for you. I will vote for someone who will commit themselves to work on behalf of small farmers and real food and decent treatment of animals and to end this industrialized agricultural nightmare that is taking us off a cliff.

Disclaimer by Linn:  I am not a scientist. I have read for months on this subject, and am including only a tiny portion of the horrifying things I have learned. I am expressing my opinion as person and may be wrong. Perhaps things are swell out there and rBGH is fabulous and TSE-laced feed is great, and genetic engineering is the best thing since manna. But I am scared for my family and I have not only a right to say so but an obligation to do so. I am angry that Monsanto was allowed the influence it had and has done the things it definitely seems to have. I am disgusted by industrialization of every tender and beautiful part of our world and hope, for all our children's sake, we are not too late to pull back.

Auto manufacturing supplier calls Big Auto out for 4 decades of crappy management.

Share

Abridged letter from Troy Clarke, President of General Motors - followed by a response from Gregory Knox:

Dear Employee,

Next week, Congress and the current Administration will determine whether to provide immediate support to the domestic auto industry to help it through one of the most difficult economic times in our nation's history. Your elected officials must hear from all of us now on why this support is critical to our continuing the progress we began prior to the global financial crisis. As an employee, you have a lot at stake and continue to be one of our most effective and passionate voices. I know GM can count on you to have your voice heard.

Thank you for your urgent action and ongoing support.

Troy Clarke General Motors North America

From Gregory Knox,

In response to your request to call legislators and ask for a bailout for the United States automakers please consider the following, and please also pass this onto Troy Clark, the president of General Motors North America for me.

You are both infected with the same entitlement mentality that has bred like cancerous germs in UAW halls for the last countless decades, and

whose plague is now sweeping the nation, awaiting our new "messiah" to wave his magical wand and make all our problems go away, while at the same time allowing our once great nation to keep "living the dream".

The dream is over!

The dream that we can ignore the consumer for years while management myopically focuses on its personal rewards packages at the same time that our factories have been filled with the worlds most overpaid, arrogant, ignorant and laziest entitlement minded "laborers" without paying the price for these atrocities, and that still the masses will line up to buy our products

Don't tell me I'm wrong. Don't accuse me of not knowing of what I speak. I have called on Ford, GM, Chrysler, TRW, Delphi, Kelsey Hayes, American Axle and countless other automotive OEM's and Tier ones for 3 decades now throughout the Midwest and what I've seen over the years in these union shops can only be described as disgusting.

Mr Clark, the president of General Motors, states:

"There is widespread sentiment in this country, our government and especially in the media that the current crisis is completely the result of bad management. It is not."

You're right, it's not JUST management, how about the electricians who walk around the plants like lords in feudal times, making people wait on them for countless hours while they drag ass so they can come in on the weekend and make double and triple time for a job they easily could have done within their normal 40 hour week.

How about the line workers who threaten newbies with all kinds of scare tactics for putting out too many parts on a shift and for being too productive (mustn't expose the lazy bums who have been getting overpaid for decades for their horrific underproduction, must we?!?) Do you really not know about this stuff?!?

How about this great sentiment abridged from Mr. Clarke's sad plea:

"over the last few years we have closed the quality and efficiency gaps with our competitors."

What the hell has Detroit been doing for the last 40 years?!?

Did we really JUST wake up to the gaps in quality and efficiency between us and them?

The K car vs. the Accord?

The Pinto vs. the Civic?!?

Do I need to go on?

We are living through the inevitable outcome of the actions of the United States auto industry for decades.

Time to pay for your sins, Detroit.

I attended an economic summit last week where a brilliant economist, Alan Beaulieu surprised the crowd when he said he would not have given the banks a penny of "bailout money". Yes, he said, this would cause short term problems, but despite what people like George Bush and Troy Clark would have us believe, the sun would in fact rise the next day and something else would happen where there had been greedy and sloppy banks, new efficient ones would pop up. That is how a free market system works. It does work if we would let it work.

But for some reason we are now deciding that the rest of the world is right and that capitalism doesn't work that we need the government to step in and "save us". Save us, hell! We're nationalizing and unfortunately too many of this once fine nations citizens don't even have a clue that this is what's really happening but they sure can tell you the stats on their favorite sports teams. Yeah, THAT'S important!

Does it occur to ANYONE that the "competition" has been producing vehicles, EXTREMELY PROFITABLY, for decades now in this country?...

How can that be???

Let's see:

Fuel efficient...

Listening to customers...

Investing in the proper tooling and automation for the long haul...

Not being too complacent or arrogant to listen to Dr W Edwards Deming 4 decades ago...

Ever increased productivity through quality, lean and six sigma plans...

Treating vendors like strategic partners, rather than like "the enemy"...

Efficient front and back offices....

Non union environment!

Again, I could go on and on, but I really wouldn't be telling anyone anything they really don't already know in their hearts.

I have six children, so I am not unfamiliar with the concept of wanting someone to bail you out of a mess that you have gotten yourself into. My children do this on a weekly, if not daily basis, as I did at their age. I do for them what my parents did for me (one of their greatest gifts, by the way), I make them stand on their own two feet and accept the consequences of their actions and work them through.

Radical concept, huh?

Am I there for them in the wings? Of course, but only until such time as they need to be fully on their own as adults.

I don't want to oversimplify a complex situation, but there certainly are unmistakable parallels here between the proper role of parenting and government.

Detroit and the United States need to pay for their sins.

Bad news people, it's coming whether we like it or not.

The newly elected Messiah really doesn't have a magic wand big enough to "make it all go away" I laughed as I heard Obama "reeling it back in" almost immediately after the vote count was tallied. We might not do it in a year or in four. Where was that kind of talk when he was RUNNING for the office?

Stop trying to put off the inevitable.

That house in Florida really isn't worth $750,000.

People who jump across a border really don't deserve free health care benefits.

That job driving that forklift for the big 3 really isn't worth $85,000 a year.

We really shouldn't allow Wal-Mart to stock their shelves with products acquired from a country that unfairly manipulates their currency and has the most atrocious human rights infractions on the face of the globe.

That couple whose combined income is less than $50,000 really shouldn't be living in that $485,000 home!

Let the market correct itself people. It will. Yes it will be painful, but it's gonna be painful either way, and the bright side of my proposal is that on the other side of it is a nation that appreciates what is has and doesn't live beyond its means. Gets back to basics, and redevelops the work ethic that made it the greatest nation in the history of the world and probably turns back to God.

Sorry don't cut my head off, I'm just the messenger sharing with you the "bad news".

Do you know what your Senators and Representatives are doing while you sleep?

Share

All hail Hussein, the imposter POTUSSince information is the real power lets start getting rid of the people that have caused the problems.  One thing that needs to happen pretty much now, is the american people need to stop re-electing the same fool's to office.  I recommend the following voting guide lines:

If the person has been in office for two terms or more then vote for the other guy.  No one person should be able to consolidate within an elected office.  This leads to piggyism, you know, that propensity that elected politicians have for spending others peoples money on pet projects.  I realize this will be hard to do, after all, its hard to give up all those perks that an incumbent brings back to the office.  That though is the problem, those perks, are often directed to the military-industrial complex that the Honorable President Eisenhower warned you about.

I also recommend that you begin to study your elected officials, in-depth.  I recommend you take a look at the Sunshine Review website, The mission of Sunshine Review is to create a place where regular people have the opportunity to breathe new life into the political system by demanding a transparent and honest government. Sunshine Review collects and shares information about government transparency, openness and accountability at the state and local level.

Why wait?  Do it now!  Your child's children will call you blessed.

Does being a snarky pundit really help in political affairs?

Share

OK sentiant, I've thought about what you said about giving hussein 100 days to prove up.  I will not do that simply because a common street lawyer is incapable of turning around the woes that have befallen this great country.

What I will do however is take a more proactive approach.  Instead of pointing out the shortcomings and deficiencies of the man and his plan (which are surprisingly easy), I will instead write about the issue or area of national concern, tell you why hussein's plan won't work to solve the issue or concern, and then give a plan that will.  Much the same way I did concerning the bailout alternative plan called GRAPES.

The problem is not money or people to execute the plan, it's developing a plan that will do it's intended function and not cause more social or economic harm in the future because of it's implementation.

So, I'll let all the snarky pundits do what they do best... as for me I prefer solutions.

Does Obama know what one TRILLION dollars looks like?

Share
Found this on webtutor.com.  I've made the point that the common street lawyer impersonating the POTUS known as Hussein cannot possibly understand what a trillion dollars is.  But, My readers can!

What does one TRILLION dollars look like?

All this talk about "stimulus packages" and "bailouts"...

A billion dollars...

A hundred billion dollars...

Eight hundred billion dollars...

One TRILLION dollars...

What does that look like? I mean, these various numbers are tossed around like so many doggie treats, so I thought I'd take Google Sketchup out for a test drive and try to get a sense of what exactly a trillion dollars looks like.

We'll start with a $100 dollar bill. Currently the largest U.S. denomination in general circulation. Most everyone has seen them, slighty fewer have owned them. Guaranteed to make friends wherever they go.

$100

A packet of one hundred $100 bills is less than 1/2" thick and contains $10,000. Fits in your pocket easily and is more than enough for week or two of shamefully decadent fun.

$10,000

Believe it or not, this next little pile is $1 million dollars (100 packets of $10,000). You could stuff that into a grocery bag and walk around with it.

$1,000,000 (one million dollars)

While a measly $1 million looked a little unimpressive, $100 million is a little more respectable. It fits neatly on a standard pallet...

$100,000,000 (one hundred million dollars)

And $1 BILLION dollars... now we're really getting somewhere...

$1,000,000,000 (one billion dollars)

Next we'll look at ONE TRILLION dollars. This is that number we've been hearing so much about. What is a trillion dollars? Well, it's a million million. It's a thousand billion. It's a one followed by 12 zeros.

You ready for this?

It's pretty surprising.

Go ahead...

Scroll down...

Ladies and gentlemen... I give you $1 trillion dollars...

$1,000,000,000,000 (one trillion dollars)

[And notice those pallets are double stacked.  and the little man in the lower left hand corner!]

So the next time you hear someone toss around the phrase "trillion dollars"... that's what they're talking about.

High Levels of Mercury found in High Fructose Corn Syrup

Share

Yummo! A little mercury with that donut?Sentiant recently seeded an article on the blogacause column of the newsvine about the highly toxic element, Mercury, being found in High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFC).  Debra Eschmeyer, over at the Ethicurean blog wrote a pretty revealing article about how this sweetner found in almost all processed foods is destroying lives by widening belts, damaging bodily organs and contributing to the astonishing increase in diabetes.

I believe this might explain in part or whole the reason for the continued dramatic rise in autism seen here in the United States.  In addition to the dangers of mercury from vaccines, the mercury now revealed to be found in HFC is yet another source of mercury that our children are exposed to.  None dare call this a conspiracy.  Of course not, we have the CDC and the FDA to protect us.  Yeah, right!

Naturally, The industry has repeatedly defended HFC on many these many fronts.  Most commonly saying that its a natural sweetner, and that there is no proof it causes all these ailments.  In Feb of 2009, the Corn Refiners Association even posted a news release saying, "MERCURY STUDY SERIOUSLY FLAWED AND OUTDATED; FAILS TO MEET STANDARDS FOR SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH".  No less than 1,000 articles were posted within a matter of days as damage control.  Let's face it folks, our enemy is organized, deep pocketed and willing to kill to defend their profits of death.

Where is the FDA in this?  Why are you not investigating these claims?  Why are you not protecting us and our children?

Join The Washington D.C. Teabag Party, April 1st, 2009

Share

Would you like more taxes with that Tea Sir?To the SILENT MAJORITY:

If you aren't the 'protester' type, simply make your one voice heard with a TEABAG.  Your one voice will become a roar when joined with millions of others that feel the same way.  Yes, something needs to be done but the lack of confidence as shown by the steady decline in the stock market speaks volumes.

On April 1, 2009, all Ameicans are asked to send a TEABAG to Washinton , D.C.  You do not have to enclose a note or any other information unless you so desire.

Just a TEABAG.

This was not my idea.  I visited the sites of the 'New American Tea Pary' and an online survey showed over 90% of thousands said they would send the teabag on April 1.  Why, April 1??

We want them to reach Washington by April 15.   Will you do it?  I am.  Send it to:    1600 Pennsylvania Ave. , Washington , D.C. 20500.

Don't be a dummy! There's a storm a brewin'.  What happens when good, responsible  people keep quiet?  Washington has forgotten they work for us.  We don't work for them.  Throwing good money after bad is NOT the answer.

I am sick of the midnight, closed door sessions to come up with a plan.

I am sick of Congress raking CEO's over the coals while they, themselves, have defaulted on their taxes.

I am sick of the bailed out companies having lavish vacations and retreats on my dollar.

I am sick of being told it is MY responsibility to rescue people that, knowingly, bought more house than they could afford.

I am sick of being made to feel it is my patriotic duty to pay MORE taxes.

I, like all of you, am a responsible citizen.  I pay my taxes.  I live on a budget and I don't ask someone else to carry the burden for poor decisions I may make.  I have emailed my congressmen and senators asking them to NOT vote for the stimulus package as it was written without reading it first.  No one listened.  They voted for it, pork and all.

Forward this to everyone in your address book.  Visit the website below for more information about the 'New American Tea Party'.  I would encourage everyone to go ahead and get the envelope ready to mail, then just drop it in the mail April 1.  Can't guarantee what the postage will be by then, it is going up as we speak, but have your envelope ready.  What will this cost you?  A little time and a 42 or 44 cent stamp.

What could you receive in benefits?  Maybe, just maybe, our elected officials will start to listen to the people.  Take out the Pork.  Tell us how the money is being spent.  We want TRANSPARENCY AND ACCOUNTABILITY.  Remember, the money will be spent over the next 4-5 years.  It is not too late.

Catch the update to this article here
