we told you to keep the change...My gran-pappy always told me, "boy, its not possible to dig your way out of a hole".  In other words don't start something you can't get out of. especially if its a bad ideal from the git-go.  Seems Prez Obama is looking for a ladder to climb out of the hole he has dug for himself with this whole healthcare legislation fiasco.

President Barack Obama has apparently pulled the plug on "public option" government-run healthcare.

His remarks at the town hall meeting held Tuesday in Portsmouth, N.H., echoed other Democrats' signals that any healthcare reform bill making its way out of Congress this fall will not include a taxpayer-subsidized insurance system.

Mr. Obama, tear down that change...

Dingell's Death Sleds for the Disabled

Share

wonders if us army buying sleds...This entry is dedicated to Mike Sola, father of a disabled man who has cerebral palsy, who questioned Representative John Dingell about the lack of protections for disabled folk in Obama's healthcare legislation

Seems Sola has been getting death threats from Obama's SEIU or ACORN folk since he showed up to ask Dingell how he could propose legislation that would in effect mean a death sentence for his disabled son.  What the heck is it with this country that we keep electing people like Dingell?  This man has been in his congressional office for 54 years!  He is 83 years old!  He has never lived under the laws he has created!

All this reminded me of a story I read when I was in the 6th grade.  A story about respecting life, in particular the lives of the elderly because you never know when their wisdom will save your ass.  So, for your reading pleasure...

A folk tale from Russia:  Granddaughter's Sled

A man named Ivan lived with his elderly father and young daughter. At that time, so long ago, old people were thought to be useless. They were taken to the forest and left to die, all alone. Now that the old man was feeble and could no longer earn a living, Ivan tied him onto his daughter's sled.

"Where are you taking Grandfather?" asked the girl.

"To the forest," repiled Ivan.

"But why, Father?  He is too weak to cut down trees or pick berries."

"Never mind why, Daughter. It's something I must do."

"Can I come, too?" asked the girl.

"Yes, but no more questions."

The girl ran behind the sled, stoppping here and ther to pick wildflowers for her grandfather.  When they came to the middle of the forest, Ivan said, "I'm sorry to leave you here father, but you know how it is among our people."

"You can't leave Grandfather out here," said the girl.

"He will starve or be killed by the wolves."

"He is old and can no longer work. I have no choice, Daughter."

The girl thought for a moment and said, "But we can't leave my sled behind, because when you grow old, I'll need it to carry you into the forest."

Ivan frowned and then realized the truth of the girl's statement. He, too, would one day be left in the forest to die.

"You are right, Daughter. Let's take Grandfather Home. But don't tell any of our neighbors that he is still with us."

They hid the old man in a back room and kep his existence a great secret.

Soon afterward, a terrible famine swept the land.  Food became scarce and the people grew hungry. Ivan had less and less to take to his aged father. The old man did not complain.

The famine continued and the villagers ate the last of the wheat and rye. They even ate the seed grain and had nothing to plant in the spring. There was no hope of survival.

Ivan took his old father a small piece of hard bread and told him that the people were starving.

"Nonsense," said Grandfather. "Take the straw roof from the barn and thrash it well. You will find that there is more than a handful of grain left in the thatch. Plant the grain and you will get a healthy crop."

Ivan did as he was told and soon had a fine crop of rye. The villagers were grateful and asked him where he got such excellent advice.

"From my father, a wise man indeed."

"Your father is dead," said one of the villagers.

"Grandfather is not dead," explained Ivan's daughter. We have hidden him but not his wisdom. Grandfather has saved all our lives!"

So Grandfather came out of hiding, and from that time forth, old people were honored and respected in that village.

Remember 'We Surround Them', Think Town Hall Meetings

Share

We must fight to preserve our right, to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.Let the Majority speak out Now!  Many of you remember Glenn Becks impassioned statement, "We Surround Them".  It talked about the how we as a nation, out-number these few, this minority group of socialists that have taken over the white house and congress.  And indeed we do.  We have allowed a small minority in our country to assume control and now that they are in power they are willing to use any means necessary to get their way.

The question is, will you the American people allow this change to wash over America?  I don't think so.

President Obama, knowing that there is strong opposition from the majority to implement his socialist programs, has called upon his own grass-roots minions to stop concerned citizens from voicing our opinions to our elected leaders at town hall meetings.  Mainstream news outlets are reporting that Obama's last ditch effort is using violence perpetrated by ACORN members, SEIU Union Members, Militant Black Panthers and other radical violent leftinista groups to impose his will upon a still free public.

Because Obama and the Democrats in congress have taken this argument to the next level, that being intimidation and violence, we the people must not let this type of behavior stand.  We the majority must make our stand known and here is how.

We must organise, we must assemble, as individuals we must come to these town hall meetings in such large numbers that there is no doubt as to our majority.  We must show up in such great numbers that the Union, ACORN, and Black Panther thugs understand that there is a majority willing to defend our rights.  By our mere presence and determination, and our free voice we will make this stand.  We must not shy away from conflict.  We must show them that we are willing to stand firm to maintain our liberties and prevent our government from doing things which are against the will of the people and the constitution.

I would also ask you to go one step further.  We must assemble at our elected Representatives and Senators offices found through-out their in-state districts.  If they will block us from the town halls, then we must take the meeting to their offices.  We must call their offices with such diligence that they understand our commitment to defeat Obama's healthcare legislation.  Send emails and/or call your Senators and Representatives telling them that you will stand firm against this type of totalitarian activity on the part of Obama.  Click here to Contact The Big Brother in the White House and the Congressional Traitors.

We must also support those brave Representatives and Senators who already stand with us.  We must come out to their town hall meetings and show our support.

I'm asking that members of individual state's police forces and/or militia's attend these meetings to insure the protection of law abiding citizens from violence brought by ACORN, SEIU and the Black Panthers thugs.  These groups as reported by the news media are already acting aggressively with marching orders from Obama and Congress to initimidate the american people.

Keep in mind I am not advocating violence.  Do not break windows, do not push or shove other people.  Be courteous, polite and respectful.  If attacked by any of Obama's thugs mentioned above, defend yourself and call the police.  We are assembling at these town halls and at their congressional in-state offices to have our voices heard.

Now is the time.  Congressional members offices and town hall meetings are the place.

Congress Doesn't Believe Healthcare Reform Protests are Grass Roots

Share

Make no mistake Reid, we will stop healthcare reformThe Democrats, some traitorous Republicans and the Main Stream Media (Reuters, Associate Press, Washington Post, New York Times, Chicago Suntimes, Yahoo! News, Google News, CNN, ABC and NBC just to name a few) would portray those of us using the internet and real person forums to fight passage of health care reform legislation, as liars, trouble-makers, and lackeys for big business and insurance companies, just because we are getting out the message about how bad this law will be for America.

Show me one instance in any of my posted articles and entries where I lied.  How about it Harry Reid, show me the big insurance companies contributions to me.  You can't.  The reason is because I have not lied, I quoted, sometimes word for word the very bill you want to foist upon the unsuspecting American citizen.  I can also say that no one from the insurance industry or medical industry (or any industry) has paid me a dime to write the entries I posted in opposition to your healthcare farce.

I would further point out that you are the one who is trying to sabotage the democratic process, when you instruct other congresspersons to hold phone call town hall meetings thus limiting attendees exposure to questions that cast a dark light on your reform package and also limit who can ask, or when you threaten republicans that democrats will go it alone, or intimidate attendees who ask relevant but poignant questions concerning the bill, or stage Press coverage calling us mobs or nazis like we should be put down by the police or the national guard.  How dare you Senator Reid question my sincerity in this matter... How Dare You!!

Let me tell you something else Harry Reid and all you other congresspersons, this is grass-roots organized opposition.  I have talked to 20 families that live around me, families that represent the full spectrum of voter philosophy.  And what I'm hearing from everyone of them is how this is bad legislation.  They understand all of the points made by myself and others as to why this will be the biggest governmental failure in the history of the United States.  They also know how well you have failed in other endeavors of civilian services managed by the government.

And it really galls all of us that you think your doing us a great deed, but then you have to hide behind a telephone to host a town-hall meeting.  Worse yet, you call us Mobs because we choose not to stay home and just let you and congress tear our country apart.  Take note all you congresspersons, we remember, we vote and we are a ground-level movement that represents real frustration with government spending and growth.

What folly it is on your part to not consider that many people who are protesting come nicely dressed, ask appropriate questions, and in no way incite violence, instead asking that you be more transparent about what it is you hope to dump on us.  This is in stark contrast to those protestors on your side who break into homes, push and shove decent people, try to intimidate and threaten violence against us.

We stand against your health care reform for many reasons; tax payer cost, increased taxes, rationing of services, lack of services, affects on current quality of medical care, onerous laws and regulations that inhibit our freedoms even more just to name a few.

This is change we a fully against, and we hope you do get the message.
