So much promise, so little delivery. Such could be used to describe the professional and political shelf life of Obama championette, Janeane Garofalo. Not content to race to the bottom in her mostly failed presentments in the entertainment industry she now purports to be an intellectual in all matters Obama and willingly preaches the virtues of indoctrination bannered by the Ministry of Change.
In her latest salvo at the political right, she really gave thinking Americans a good look at the shallow foundation her political beliefs are based on; guilt mongering, false doctrines and vulgarity.
Her spew directed at such patriotic endeavors as the Tea Parties going on around the country only serve notice as to an inner hatred of the country, it's costitutional tenements and the wonderful people here-in that have so handsomely rewarded her shining efforts in Hollywood. Instead of finding common ground or points of agreement, she can only focus on the negative and in lieu of anything intelligent to bring to the table has resorted mostly to name calling.
Most recently calling all April 15 Tea Party goers "a bunch of teabagging rednecks" on MSNBC's "Countdown," Garofalo's encore was to tell a British newspaper that "These people are called 'racially sensitive', what they should be called is racist, backward motherf**kers." She further questioned if they knew the true story of the original Boston Tea Party were our ancestors in the dark of night stole aboard vessels laden with tea and other commodities and threw it all over board as a form of protest against the onerous tariffs England demanded of the colonies for said shipment.
Quite honestly, I don't consider myself 'racially sensitive' or 'politically correct', I don't play any of the woe-is-me-isms with anyone, this is America, if you want the offering of money, life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness here you have to earn it. To think that these are obtainable by playing to some sympathy-ism is to pervert the laws of nature and deny ones self the ecstasy of success and accomplishment.
If we were to go by Obama's socialist words and your beliefs Janeane, then you wouldn't mind if I come into your home, hypothetically speaking, and take your big screen tv, some diamond jewelry or some of your works of art, because I'm poor by this societies standards and you have too much... its not fair and I expect you to redistribute your wealth to me and my friends so we can enjoy it too. Oh, and while your at it, send your gardener over tomorrow because my lawn needs tending.
But why stop there. You and your friends are toasting each other over congress' recent legislation aimed at capping executive pay. What insight you folks must have into the human drive for success, for surely under your beliefs we don't measure our industrious success by how many dollars we collect at the end of the day, nope, we measure it by the warm fuzzy feeling we get knowing our popular product employs workers who make it and also because it makes our customers happy. And since this is a plural society, such thoughts of spreading the wealth must apply to all our citizens. So, I propose we have congress limit you and your hollywood friends paychecks. Surely none of you have a reason to get 20 million dollars per movie, so i think 200,000 should be the cap per movie and no residuals from sales. All of that extra can go to give the many workers on the production set a much needed raise and then there are the orphans down the road who need shoes.
So the real question for you is, Can the Goose live like the Gander?
