Bob Unruh of the World Net Daily wrote that the public policy organization, American Policy Institute, has issued an urgent alert stating affirmative votes are needed from only two more states before a Constitutional Convention could be assembled in which "today's corrupt politicians and judges" could formally change the U.S. Constitution's "'problematic' provisions to reflect the philosophical and social mores of our contemporary society."
"Don't for one second doubt that delegates to a Con Con wouldn't revise the First Amendment into a government-controlled privilege, replace the 2nd Amendment with a 'collective' right to self-defense, and abolish the 4th, 5th, and 10th Amendments, and the rest of the Bill of Rights," said the warning.
"Additions could include the non-existent separation of church and state, the 'right' to abortion and euthanasia, and much, much more," the group said.
Most worrisome is that Barack Obama, who is to be voted the next president by the Electoral College, has expressed his belief that the U.S. Constitution needs to be interpreted through the lens of current events. Hmm. So the fact that it has served us well for over 200 years means nothing to you O' Great Exalted Electedness?
Obama has stated repeatedly his desire for empathetic judges who "understand" the plight of minorities, and what better way to get those empathetic judges than to have a constitution that allows this. What plight might that be, President-elect Obama? Crack Cocaine use? Inner city ghettoes that are so dangerous that even the police won't go there at night? Out of wedlock birth rates in the black community unequaled by any other minority anywhere else in the world? Or would that empathy need by force of law via your new constitutional authority be extended to those animals who commited the horrific murder of Channon Christian and Hugh Newsom? Or perhaps the empathetic judge will attend the "We killed whitey party" after he sets their killers free? Yes, I see you've thought this out clearly and concisely, planning for all the possible misgivings of such a change... because we have it on good authority Mr. Obama that your much smarter than the founding fathers of this country.
Obama, In a 2007 speech to Planned Parenthood, the nation's largest abortion provider, he said, "We need somebody who's got the heart, the empathy, to recognize what it's like to be a young teenage mom. The empathy to understand what it's like to be poor, or African-American, or gay, or disabled, or old. And that's the criteria by which I'm going to be selecting my judges."
Obama also committed himself to respecting the Constitution but said the founding document must be interpreted in the context of current affairs and events. My question is President-elect Obama, whose current affairs and events would you be referring too? Those of the minorities within this great nation? Or will majority prevail? For some reason, I just don't think you care about the majority... and you certainly have motive and circumstance of want to change our wonderful constitution. Oops, now why would I say that?!
An associate at a Chicago law firm whose partner served on a finance committee for Obama has advocated simply abandoning the U.S. Constitution's requirement that a president be a "natural-born" citizen. Imagine that Mr. Obama, it would solve your current problem regarding your inability to come clean and produce a valid certified vault birth certificate, said certificate or lack thereof questioned of recent even before the U.S. Supreme Court.
Oh Yeah, I also forgot to mention that Obama believes the Constitution is flawed, because it fails to address wealth redistribution, and he says the Supreme Court should have intervened years ago to accomplish that. Obama said in a 2001 radio interview the Constitution is flawed in that it does not mandate or allow for redistribution of wealth. Obama told chicago public radio station WBEZ-FM that "redistributive change" is needed, pointing to what he regarded as a failure of the U.S. Supreme Court under Chief Justice Earl Warren in its rulings on civil rights issues in the 1960s.
For a good synopsis of how redistribution under his exalted electedness will work, check out my humorous find here.
Tom DeWeese, who runs the center said that the possibilities stunned him when he discovered lawmakers in Ohio are considering a call for a Constitutional Convention. He explained that 32 other states already have taken that vote, and only one more would be needed to require Congress to name convention delegates who then would have more power than Congress itself.
"The U.S. Constitution places no restriction on the purposes for which the states can call for a convention," the alert said. "If Ohio votes to call a Constitutional Convention, for whatever purpose, the United States will be only one state away from total destruction. And it's a safe bet that those who hate this nation, and all She stands for, are waiting to pounce upon this opportunity to re-write our Constitution."

So, overall a pretty chilling read when one considers we've allowed the foxes to guard the hen house. Again, I offer the following solution for our neurotic gray matter challenged brethren in the U.S. Congress. DO NOT let anyone mess with the Constitution of these United States of America for any reason. This great constitution has served this country well for over 200 years and should be able to do so in its present form for another 200 years. The only reason any one would have designs of changing it would be if they want to undermine the integrity of this great nation. I believe that is exactly what Prez-lect Obama and his minority crew want to do... destroy the country that has given even them the opportunity for greatness.
