If you traverse the blogacause realm with any frequency you will have noticed we had some problems in the last few days. Everytime I or one of the other bloggers here would go to add an entry, the server that handles our blogs would crash, http 500 errors... ugh. Can Microsoft get any more obtuse or Obfuse (is that a word? it should be.. haha) in its error reporting?
I beat my head on my keyboard for 3 days trying to figure out why as there where no entries in the error logs or the windows logs that would indicate why it was crashing. I even imagined a denial of service attack but again there was no evidence to support this.
What could it be that separated me and thee from reading the rapaciously bent causes discussing political and cultural news? It was nothing less than a good ole windows server with constipation caused by a severely fragmented hard-drive and also fragmentation in the database that serves the blogacause application. We've since fixed both problems and as you can read this, we are back on line with more wit and wim in service to a free world.
Sorry for the interruption... we now return you to your normally scheduled sheeple grazing time.
